3rd October 2026 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods and warm Max Speed: Distance Covered: Saturday 3rd October - walks *** – Felixstowe Ferry and the Around Felixstowe – sunny periods and warm. Walk 1 – Felixtowe Ferry. We both decided to give the early walk a miss this morning enjoying a lay-in then with Mag had loads to do in the garden while I drove down to Felixstowe Felixstowe hoping to see the kids head out sailing! I arrived at ten, perfect timing to see the dinghies line up in the River Deben and sail out to have some fun in a nice westerly breeze in front of Bawdsey beach. I then had a walk round the boatyard, now with my two cameras and my new mobile phone which is ideal for taking weather pics! Home for breakfast in the sunny warm back garden, Mag continues putting the garden to bed while I do my exercises before packing a picnic. Walk 2 – Around Felixstowe including a picnic in the Spa Gardens. As we were joining the old people for out yearly flu jabs around three we walked down to Felixstowe prom which was busy with people enjoying the good weather. We found a nice bench in the Spa gardens for a relaxing lunch watching the world go by! Then up to the doctors for our injections which went well and was done very quickly before heading up the town to get Maeva a pair of funky wellies before heading home. Maeva with her mum and dad headed to Gt. Yarmouth to pick up a new kitten, the very vocal Bernard, hopefully we will meet him tomorrow! |
